e46 316 N42 to 325 M54 engine swap - WIRING HELP!!!

Hi anyone who is reading this,

I'm looking for some help. I've got a 316ti compact thats engine has died.

This has meant upgrade time in the form of a 2.5 M54 from a 352ci.

The engine is in but the car will not turn over. The fuel pump primes, I've jumped the starter, the ECU/DME, EWS, transponder is swapped in from the 325. Since its not cranking over at all I dont think its the EWS. I've got a cable and the BMW TIS software and have logged into the ECU and checked and realigned the EWS.

The looms all in, apart from one plug which does not seem right. The wires going from the chassis harness to the engine harness are all different colours.

Close up of each plug:

I've now probably spent 4 hours searching for answers so I'm hoping one of you might have that little nugget of knowledge that might help?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!_a_
