I paid almost $40,000 for mine new, plus a few ZHP mods along the way, so $8000 sounds cheep to me.

But, not a fan of these colors.

Some much-needed perspective.

Who else here is an OG owner?

It appears to me that 2WD cars currently have the $8K rule in effect.

Question for the cognoscenti: why do some Sport Pack cars have shadowline and some don't?
I think some Canadian cars may have gotten Shadowline, but here in the States all 323i wagons got flat black window trim and all 325i wagons got chrome.

I have original documentation that shows a $38k sticker price, but other documentation shows something more like $35k purchase price (with European delivery) for mine when new in 2003. Rwd, 5 MT, sport, premium, cold weather, leatherette (meh...has its advantages with an almost 4 year old, though!)

Plus, lest we forget, $38k in 2003 would be about the equivalent of $53k now.

That is A LOT of coin for a small wagon.

My parents paid just over $40k for my mom's Volvo V60 new 3 or 4 years ago.

This is my 3rd touring and the first I got good documentation with. Shows a crazy amount of depreciation since I bought the car in 2016 for $7350 with 113k miles on it.

Hi everyone! I wanted to get everyone's opinions on this deal I found. It's a 2001 BMW 325XIT 5 speed manual for sale from the original owner and only has 92k miles. I went and saw the car and it's in great shape for the age. Has plenty of maintenance records and recently overhauled the whole cooling system. He was willing to let it go for $3,500. What do you guys think? Not very familiar with the E46 touring market but know the e90 one is very hot. Thanks

Thanks! Yeah it's not a rust bucket and is in almost excellent shape. Only thing wrong with it is the airbag light is on. He isn't sure why but he said it came on after he had the recall completed. So that's the only thing I would have to figure out. Also added some pics bellow! Thanks

Sounds like a great buy. My only question is if the airbag light came on after having the recall completed, why didn't he take it back to have it corrected?

Looks like a steal at that price, but yeah, why didn't he take it back when the SRS light came on?

Echoing what everyone else has said. If I were the owner and needed to put it out on the open market, I'd try to get double that amount, at least.

2001 BMW 325XI Wagon 195,XXX miles.

This car is awesome and I hate to let it go but I need the parking space. The All wheel drive and snow tires are unstoppable in the snow. The seat heaters are too hot and with the rear seats down it carries nearly as much as a small pickup(and keeps it dry). Super safe side curtain airbags and dynamic stability control. Fantastic ski car. I have had it for a long time and it has never left me stranded.

All Weather BMW mats
Harmon Kardon Factory speakers with factory sub woofer.
Super Rare Imola Red interior
Premium package(Sport Wheels, Multifunction steering wheel, Wood grain, Rain sensing Wipers, Power seats, Auto dimming rear view mirror, Moon Roof)
cold weather package(Heated seats, heated mirrors, fold down rear seat, headlight washers, passthrough seat ski bag)
New Battery(OEM)
All Wheel Drive
Snow Tires with 70% tread
Optional Yakima Roof Rack.

Known Issues:
Lite rust in door jams(Not structural see pictures)
Rear main seal has a very slow leak.
GUIBO on driveshaft is worn(mild vibration at certain speeds but not a safety concern).
Electronic oil reader needs replaced(works intermittently. Dipstick works 100% of the time though.)
power steering pump makes slight noise on cold start up.
CD player is busted but radio works fine

Man, those door jambs look super iffy, but that interior sure is tasty! Can't wait to get mine installed!

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to give an update. Ending up getting the car but had to get in a bit of a bidding war since more people showed interest in the wagon. Not really surprising but still think I was able to pick it up for a steal. Ended up paying $4,200 and he threw in the Thule rack and a set of winter wheels.

Also came across another wagon for sale that seems to be very clean but is an auto. Here's the link https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto...910019714.html

Great buy! Especially with the extras you got him to throw in.

Any interest in some E46 Touring Cross Bars? OEM - BMW P/N 82-71-0-399-451. Missing one end cap, 100% functional. Just needs to be cleaned up. May fit other models but I had it on my 325IT. Located in Las Vegas, not looking to ship. Make offer. 7o26o8oo77 If you're reading this then I still have them.

S52-Swapped 5-speed E34 Touring
Description
I didn't think this would happen - but I'm listing my E34 S52-swapped Touring. I bought this car within the last few months with the thought it'd be a long-term addition to my BMW collection. I currently have 6 pre-2002 BMWs, so this fit in well. But as things go, I now need to move on. Since I figured I'd own it for quite a while, I went upgrade heavy. I installed a new beautiful triangle airbag steering wheel ($500), added Cocomats for front, rear and cargo area ($500+), sourced some new OEM Aeroprofile roof bars ($450) ... on and on. I just changed the oil about 200 miles ago. The motor in this touring is unique in that it was rebuilt with Shrick cams and many other upgrades at Markert Motor Works. The previous owner spared no expense and there are receipts totaling over $20k. Happy to answer any questions about this beautiful Touring. Lots of good info to share.
