Need help on window adjustment nut

Hi all, trying to re-install my passenger window on my 2003 325ci vert. The screw just spins and spins. I can tell I need to fix the threads but is this nut spinning normal?

Hereís a video of it:

Thanks,

Jeff

It's supposed to spin like that. See links below for information on the regulator and how to tighten/adjust.

Scroll down the comments in the first link for extra info. There is a piece that was missing from my regulator that was explained to me after I started the thread. This missing piece explained why I couldn't adjust the pretension.

Thanks so much! Very helpful. I did a search in these forums but didnít see those posts.

One question I have is where does that O-ring go? I found it at the bottom of my door, split, and see it on realoem as item #16

It holds the plates of the rear attachment point together. It looks like an o ring, but it's a rubber band.

Thx. Found it in the 2nd link you posted! Also, got lucky in that my reverse Torx bits fit nicely in my 13mm deep socket.
