Need new radio... hate my eonon. Recommendations.

Can someone recommend a better radio than my piece of S$&@ Eonon that keeps crashing.

Very happy with my Avin Avant-4 in my X5. I have had it nearly a year and would buy one again tomorrow.

Strictly out of curiosity, which model Eonon do you have?

Dynavin is over priced and looks aftermarket IMHO

I think a bit more info would help.
- how much money can you afford to spend?
- what functions (like navigation, BT) do you want?
- how complicated an install can you handle?

it does have a higher set price. but it includes everything. the limited features base price of the stripped down Avin may certainly be a better choice for some not needing sound features. but as features are added the price of the Avin goes up. comparatively loaded with features theyíre about the same price. and Jeff distributor of Dynavin USA gives discount to E46fanatics members.

Dynavin comes with a CD/DVD player while the Avin doesnít. thatís a big thing for some.

customer service for Dynavin USA is top notch.
Avin doesnít really have one, unless thatís changed recently

Indeed it is! Jeff is fantastic. That alone makes the Dynavin worth it for me.

When I was doing my research, it just seemed the Avin was a bit more hinky with support that wasn't as good (non-existent now?).

I've needed support from Jeff on a couple of occasions and it was swift and excellent. I cannot say enough.

Did the Sony AX100 with Enfig radio bezel. Came out nice. Install went smoothly and since we like CarPlay, this system works great for us.

We've been using the new system for a little over a year and it's been perfect. Only minor issue is the dimming. I need to find a 12v switched source for the dimmer as the variable voltage on the dimmer wire isn't tolerated by Sony. I get the flickering dimming so I just leave it dimmed and it's been fine.

Pics, just because...
