My Ride: 325CI & 330CI
Been a while since I posted on this thread. Since the last post I have had my airbag recall carried out by BMW and of course was handed the $3000 list of work that they recommended... Have covered a lot of miles in the 325 and it has been doing very well. I also took a trip over the NC to the Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway. Well worth it!

Last weekend I also picked up a 330ci manual that was listed nearby and hopefully I can do a little work on it and use it as a track car. It is in really nice condition and has been well maintained through its 2 owners. It has a Dinan software map and supposedly puts out 240hp. Given that it is 17 years old I am sure it is no where near that now, but it does go pretty well. My plans for it are slow as I don't plan on throwing a ton of money at it, at first anyway...

So I have started my full time job travelling and doing sales, so racking up a lot of miles. Oh and this... blowout on the motorway was a minor mishap so I'm back to the 17s for now. Also seen this mad thing pull into the service station behind me near Nashville!

Started working on the drive belt tensioner, idler pulley, AC belt tensioner and new belts at the weekend. Unfortunately I had ordered the hydraulic belt tensioner instead of the mechanical one. And also the AC tensioner had different geometry to the old one. Any one have any ideas on how that has happened? It fitted fine but the pulley was at the wrong angle to put tension on the belt.

I returned the tensioners to FCP and ordered the right part. This evening I plan to change the oil and filter as well as the plugs.

Think the plugs were overdue a change... Fresh oil, oil filter, and air filter. Front bumper is taking a bit of a beating due to the lots of driving I am doing for work.

Been a while since I posted anything on here. I have been living with my family down in Florida a lot over the past few months with gave me a great chance to get it on the lift down there and fix the oil leaks. Sump gasket and oil filter housing gasket has me leak free now!

Still got a few codes to be fixed but making slow progress.

Also had some good pics of our cars back home in Scotland. The collection is coming along now! We have also imported an R32 and RX7 out to the US to see how they do in the market here. they are currently in storage down in Florida.

A lot of work going on on the 330 so the '25 has been neglected for a bit while doing some solid miles for work. Needs an oil change before my next trip down to Florida.

Down in Florida working and putting a lot of miles in. Nice driving in Florida during this time of year... Took the clear wrap off the headlights and they look brand new. Replaced a headlight, ballast and igniter and still chasing problems with one of the headlights. Need to diagnose the problem now.

If anyone is interested in checking out my YouTube channel that I have started - give it a click

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIs...5aWmtqhFGLHhug

Trying to put together some vidoes of car shows, track days, racing and then some travelling mixed in with that. Latest video from FD Orlando is pretty cool! Plenty of LS E46's in FD this year which is cool to see!
