Seating koni sports all the way?

Hi folks, I just installed koni sports on my xi and I'm trying to figure out if they're seated correctly in the steering knuckles. The little knob is in the pinch gap and they seem to be as far in as they'll go. Both sides are the same. I even loosened and retightened the pinch bolt with the cars weight on the wheels. The bottom of the koni doesn't seem to seat down as far in the knuckles as the factory struts did. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

As long as the the pinch bolt seats in the notch of the shock it's good.
