Quick AK47 question! (again!)

I posted this in the Gun Forum, but damn it, nobody is posting in there today and I need resolution.....like now!. I'm posting it here to see if the improved traffic will help me gather some valid opinions...

Thanks guys!

1st is a stamped hungarian. The 2nd is a milled (country of origin not given). I guess Americans are churning out receivers now. The stamped will be lighter. But it is all tacticool and in CA that is a bit funny. I assume in CA it is limited to 10 rnds and a bullet button (however that works on an Ak). Does law enforcement get a pass?

They will both shoot good it's just the milled is more expensive because of the process involved in making the reciever. I do like the furniture AKs. They certainly draw more attention than the tacticool stuff.

How is he supposed to be an operator if he doesn't have enough tacticool?

Steve could never be an operator due to his refusal to grow/maintain body hair.

In the real world furniture is way more popular.

Refer to my reply in the gun forum. Century with wood stock is the way I'd go. I have a lot of experience with AK's. Owned a lot of variants through the years.

No passes given. The CA compliant AK's have an attached magazine release block. It's a pain in the ass. I'm not too worried about drawing attention. I just want an AK.........just because.

If you have the opportunity to buy one locally I'd do that. Check for mag wobble and a couple other things.

I'm just wondering why anyone would waste good money on an AK when the AR is readily available. Have you shot one? It isn't what I would call enjoyable once the novelty wears off.

I may opt for the Century and change out the furniture because I'm not a wood fan.
