Gun for home

I want a gun for the home to keep for self defense. Is a shotgun the best choice?

where are you going to put your shotty?

are you going to stash it next to the bed or something because it'll probably be too late to get if you lock it up and someone break into your place...

i vote for a pistol b/c you can just put it in the nightstand drawer or or stash it somewhere so you can be ready to fend yourself against baddies

I just got a Mossberg Maverick Model 88. I keep it next to the bed. My bed is black and so is the gun. Works nice. Got it for under $200. This thread is racist

Shotguns are too messy, you'll end up destroying your house if you have to nail someone.

Get a Glock 22.

Shotgun or handgun and invest in some firearms training courses. A lot of people assume a shotgun is easy to shoot. WRONG? Try accurately hitting a few targets at 5-10 yards quickly. 12 gauge is a surprise for most people the first time they use it. A handgun isn't a bad idea either, as long as you store it and use it safely. Just get a Mossberg shot gun to start with. You can get one for 250 bucks. It's a good time to buy a gun. Things are going to get worse. Crime is going to increase with the economic situation.

Buy something with a form of amo that won't be able to go through a wall. Ya don't want to kill the neighbors cat while blasting some thief.
