oh, they do make a big sound difference. Like I said i did the install on another members car here, and it sounded more like a M3 rasp when going through the power band.

Anyone around the Farmington Hills area that can enable the alarm and maybe even clear my srs warning? I have considered buying the hardware needed but figured I would ask here first!

Are you sure you have an alarm?

I didn't. Purchased the parts to add it. Should have them early next week.

Okay, because I am pretty sure I can do it if you would like to meet.

FYI, the PA soft cable and software is only $30 and by far the most useful tool when owning an E46.

I linked him to the PA soft, so he should be able to do this himself soon.

Dimos Auto Service on Main St. have a good rep for servicing BMW's.

But for oil changes you should definitely go to a dealer. $79.95 for genuine oil and filter is a fair price.

I do 99% of all the work on my car.

Tell us about the vibration and maybe we can help?

They threads are all over this site about vibration.

https://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...bration&page=3

Mine specifically is more when it warms up and you accelerate over about 60 mph. Deep rumble and a minor shake felt in the pedal and floor. New front axles, new rotors and pads and new Michelin tires. Tires were recently spin balanced and road forced tested. Not sure if it is the flex coupler, drive shaft, Ujoint, tranny mounts, motor mounts etc etc etc. Would hate to change ALL thos eparts and then whooops, the vibration is still there. Doing about 70mph and punch it, it doesn't seem that bad but slightly apply more pedal and you can feel it a lot more and hear it. Frustrating. If that was fixed my car would be so sweet--now I just use it as a DD around town.

Gotta leave for work in a few minutes so I didn't look at the thread in the link yet, but if you have the vibration when there is torque on the car, sounds like drive shaft to me. U bolts or something in that area, especially if you can feel it in the floor boards.
