Hello fellow E46'rs I'm looking for mechanical advice here guys, I have a 2004 bmw 330ci zhp and it's throwing 7 codes.. I've recently changed the fuel pump, spark plugs, alternator, MAF and crank sensor.

I suggest you re-read the responses to your previous post. You have similar codes.

Did you ever do a smoke test?

Hey I actually never went back to that up until now forgot all about it, but no I haven't tried a smoke test yet.. could a vacuum leak cause a misfire though?

Very much so. Chase down any vac leaks before you throw more parts at it.

That said ... when you replaced the MAF, what brand did you get? Consensus seems to be always go with OEM VDO Siemens or you could just make the problem worse

Yes I replaced it with a OEM Siemens used but tested and working perfectly, I have checked the boots and that but haven't smoke tested it yet, I know the oil filter housing gasket is bad there's a small leak there.. I'm doing a smoke test tomorrow I will post the outcome of that. Thanks

What test confirmed that it was used and working perfectly?

How many miles on your engine?
..on the O2 sensors
..fuel pump
..fuel filter
..CVV

Have you replaced all of the rubber around the intake. I wouldn’t even waste time on a smoke test. Just replace the lot - it is $65 in parts and it is all worn if original.

So the MAF test was done at a place called bimmer heaven it was pulled off a parts car that was in an accident, I'm not sure on the O2 sensors I never touched them not sure about the previous owner, the fuel pump is brand new oem Bosch, it has the original filter and the CCV seems fine I've checked it visually and it all seems to be connected without cracks.

When I start the car it has a very rough idle sometimes and stalls until it's warmed up, it's lacking power like crazy and if I step on it it bogs down.
