[OPINION] Best sounding exhaust modifications?

Hello everyone!

I've been searching around different forums and across the internet for some inspiration or some ideas for a possible future exhaust modification on my 330ci. I like the stock exhaust for the car but I was thinking about doing something different.

I'm not a big fan of exhaust modifications that sound like tin cans or riced up Honda Civics (no offense if that's what some people like, just my opinion ). I really like a muscle car sound but not too noisy. Something that growls or purrs, like a deep tone. Loud enough to be noticed but not too obnoxious for anyone else.

I stumbled upon this exhaust setup on youtube, trying to find some that I might like.

It starts around 50 seconds into the video. This setup is pretty nice, in my opinion, since its nice and deep and has a rumble to it.

A bit of a disclaimer: I'm not an expert when it comes to exhaust systems but I'm willing to learn more. If anyone has any suggestions for possible upgrades that might help, feel free to let me know! I'm willing to spend a bit of money to make it sound right but I'm not sure if I want to drop $1000 for example, even though that would get the best out there. Any suggestions for any individual part upgrades and not the entire exhaust system, maybe like just a muffler upgrade with something else is also welcome. Either way, the suggestions are welcome. Feel free to post your setups or post any recommended videos of suggested products.

Thank you!

Personally? I like the Vibrant Performance Muffler and the second resonator delete. It's quiet enough, but still has a good BMW sound.

Thanks for the suggestion and clip! Quiet yet has a beautiful sound to it as well. I found it on Amazon for $127, which isn't a bad deal at all.

I have two E46s, one is a ZHP with a totally stock muffler. The other is a 330Ci with the Vibrant 1148. I think the 330Ci sounds better than the ZHP IMHO.
