well how about them apples... and I was aware of the coding thing, my local dealer told me a "couple hours, maybe more" but i was able to find a PDF of a BMW page of the install that said charge the customer 1 hr, so I'll have to fight that one. And I was able to find yet another sirius module, and this will be #3 or 4, at $912.00!! Seriously right now? Does that seem right? Can you point me anywhere else? Here's the one I found...

That sounds about right...I retrofit Sirius into my brother-in-laws e90 325i sedan, and the car took 6 hours of programming at my indy dealer. They had to upgrade the software all over the car to accept the Sirius receiver.

I don't know anything about the e70, but on the e90, you had to see if your car had Satellite Radio Prep as an option (dealer can find this by running your VIN). If you have it that will make things easier. If not you need to do some variation of what I did here:

Thanks for the Sirius part number! Are the brackets and kits same for convertible and coupe?

I searched RealOEM for your Sirius number but got nothing. Tried it again at Tischer and found the unit via the search function but couldn't find the category it belongs in or a diagram to confirm the misc parts.

Does anybody know if the re-manufactured units for E46 are still available? I e-mailed Tischer last week and have yet to get a response.

Thanks

Sirius antenna

Does anyone know if this antenna (65200034887) work with this receiver (65120439437)? From what I have been told, the original BMW Sirius antenna (part #84110392099) has been discontinued and I cannot find it anywhere. I am trying to add Sirius radio to my M3 that has factory nav.

Hi All - i currently have a 2004 330xi with a Nav and Sirius. Problem is that my current Sirius wont upgrade to all the new channels Sirius is pushing. My Sirius subscription is All Access.
what i am looking for is to replace my current receiver with a newer module that will accept all the newer channels. SNA77, thank you for the direction you have pointed us to. i am hoping you could help advise if the 65120439437 that you installed is getting all the new channels pushed out today in 2015? You mentioned parts:
Old part #'s (when looking for a used unit):
84110141981 1st generation for units without OEM Navigation
84110153365 1st generation for units with OEM Navigation
65120398140 2nd generation
65120416377 3rd generation sold only with 1 year subscription
New generation units:
65120440550
65120439436 (current)
That -436 unit has a remanufactured version available: Part # 65120439437.

Are these still the latest or would you have any new reccomendations?

Thanks
Jaws

So do I still retain functionality of my CD changer?

Does anyone know if any of these receivers still work with Sirius?

I just replaced my CD53 head unit with a 2007 version in my '02 E46 and it would be nice to add this feature.

They still do. I was using mine up until last week before I transferred the service to my new daily driver.
