Many of you waited for it, here is the first version of ignition cut (combinable with the launch control).

We will have to see how good this works, tests showed that ignition retard builds more boost than ignition cut, but that will be a feature of the next version

Exhaust sound videos welcome

MIL Knock Indicator is also handy and speed increase for logging speaks for itself.

I virginized an ecu with ms430069 by setting all of ISN to FF.
I then tried to resync the DME with the ews using both INPA and ms4x flasher but neither could contact the EWS module. When I try and sync I keep get the pop up “no code stored for this driving session.” If I try and reset it I get the pop up “no start value is stored in this DME.”
In INPA after I try to start the car I get the the error: EWS code.
I virginized the DME in boot mode using jmgarage flasher. I read the file back off the DME to make sure I had written to the ISN/VIN area of the DME. The Isn was still “FF” out so it should have being virginized but for some reason the car still won’t start it would only crank. I corrected all checksums.
I even tried using the patch to clear immobiliser data, and the immobiliser bypass patch but neither worked.

Also to double the MAF limit do you patch that in the community patch list file, and then double all values in both maf tables? Or is it more complicated then that.

Any suggestions?

got the same problem. seems you need to write the file from wiki with chipster, read off 512kb, patch with patchlist, flash back 512kb. try if start. then read 64kb file to edit in tunerpro

So how does ignition cut work? Does instead of fuel cut it triggers an ignition cut?

Also seems like you can't adjust hysteris anymore?

Ignition cut patch swaps the standard fuel cut limiters to issue ignition cut. Hysteresis can still be changed in the tune. 32 cuts VERY quickly, benefit over fuel cut. As cutting ignition can occur much faster than opening and closing an injector.

Big flames with ignition can come from tuning. Keep in mind, there’s plenty of stock cars with ignition cut, and they aren’t shooting big flames and gunshots haha.

Hmm it seems the soft limiter is what controls the limiter. I have changed the hard limiter all the way up to 450 and get a quick rpm bounce/ no change. Change the soft limiter and it changes

Just got mine working with version 69. I had version 56 EWS delete on the ecu and instead of doing a full boot mode flash with version 69 I just did a normal 512kb flash with no patches applied. I then read the 512kb flash back and applied patches on that, then i re uploaded the patched 512kb file, seems to work fine so far.
I did all this uploading and reading using ms4x flasher.

How can i update to 69 version? I have 56 version (ews on) on my 2003 e39 525i. Will the 0069 e46 m54b25 file from the wiki work in my e39? And could you tell me how to update from 56 to 69? I just want to use the patch for m5 cluster led. Or can i simply apply that patch to my original 0056 version? Thank you.

better update to 69 because more support on forums now.

just flash EWS OFF 56 file, then flash the 69 file from wiki, then full read the 512kb file, apply the EWS bypass patch and write back with dev flasher. then it should work. dont forget to make an backup when everything worked fine so you can revert back

I flashed last night and everything seems to be working great. But how can u tweak the LC settings after reading out the 64kb file? even trying to change the rpm limiter w/ 512kb file in the patchlist it'll say "indeterminate: data does not match" in the patch box, if i change it to anything other than the preset rpm. Sorry if this was already answered in a previous post.

Community patchlist. It works only with full 512kb file, extract it with dev flasher, setup available options, flash it back, extract partial 64kb file, tune the rest, upload it back ) Indetermined data can be fixed by removing and reapplying selected patch ( only on 512kb file work with community patchlist xdf)
