Rollover IRA investments?

I know this is a really generic question with no right answer. But... I just rolled over some money from a previous employers 401k into a rollover IRA. I chose to do this because after talking with an advisor, it seemed more flexible than rolling into my current employers 401k.

However now I have to elect some investment options. I have about $10k to 'play' with. Since I'm only in my 20's, I'd like something with moderate risk. A combination of a number of different things.

Does anyone have a recommendation? Something like a mutual fund, or is that not how this works?

Look at that subtle jet-black coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a 6mt.
