Unhappy Tornado Kit Fitment problem

Any of you guys with Tornado Kit have fitment problems with rear bumper? I just installed mine, and the rear bumper cracked because of bad fitment.

NickACS had a hell of a time fitting the kit to his sedan but got it straightened out. Was the kit fiberglass?

I have it on my coupe....

I didn't have any problems fitting the rear.....

it was an easy fit...all that I had to do was **** with the shock mounts...as in lift them so there was not any gap

I still don't know what to do

still don't know what to do right now. Yes it is fiberglass. my bodyshop worker forced the rear kit to fit, so it cracked . They'll replace it for free thou.

Then the kit is fake then, I believe all Racing Dynamics kits were Pu-Rim?

I don't think it's fake

I don't think it's fake because I have to wait for my kits for 2 weeks to be delivered from Germany. I saw the packaging and everything.

The original RD kits will have RD product label with ID number inside the spoilers.

on a note

What did you pay for this kit?

Please exclude shipping cost in the cost.

I advantage. If its fiberglass you should be able to repair it.

Fiberglass is easily repairable by any bodyshop

I'm not too familiar with the RD bodystuff but it sounds awfully cheap if the bodykit just cracks, unless you curbed it or something

the kit is not fake. As best as I know, RD kits, including tornado, are fibreglass, admittedly best grade fibreglass, but still fibreglass. I love the design and have bought a kit off them before, but the material is why a lot of fanatics hesitate to buy when they can get bodykits made with superior materials for less $$$$.

NO

they are pu rim live with it

Mine is pu rim and serial number in the bumper itself.

maybe its stuff that came from electrodyne. They made a lot of fake rd ****. Federico (president of rd) made a big fuss about this. The qualety sucks

Learn more about this on my website

I stand corrected. Even though I have heard that all RD kits up to E46 were fibreglass from the USA or Germany. Perhaps your friend Frederico should make this clear on the RacDyn website its self.

yes its not very well documented

Your right

the ironi is that on the electrodyne site there is a pdf that dokuments that ...... the compagny that dares to make inferior stuff.

Dont know about the electrodyne polecy now but in the past they dared selling their own stuff under the rd name.

http://www.racdyn-usa.com/company/appguide.pdf

click pdf for dokumentation of the pu rim stuff
