Form 1 Sent IN! Guess the return date game!

Let's make this wait fun gents. I sent the form 1 in today so let's everyone take a guess on the date I'll get it back.

I'm going to guess May 1, 2012.

May 17th, 2012

May 23rd, 2012.

In all seriousness, I'm going to guess 6/23/12.

Haha I'm loving how ridiculously optimistic my guess is at this point. Ohh well, just have to wait and see I guess.

EDIT: I've been doing some more reading on this. From what I can tell, it would be a miracle for me to see it come back by June. It may be July. And my recent order, which went in today, will be delayed by how long it takes stuff to get in and then the time it takes to submit the form 4. Probably won't see that stuff until august.

Well, they already cashed the check so it looks like they got it. I realized yesterday though that I think I screwed up the Certification of Compliance (Citizenship form). I've heard that it's not an issue with a Trust, however. We'll have to see if it gets kicked back.

Also, I sent in 4 Form 4s yesterday, yes FOUR of them. I had to deal with two FFLs who had different things and filled out so many forms that my hand hurts. It should be worth it in a few months though. Other than a DIAS, I can't think of any Title II item I want now; I've cleared my desires list (and also cleared out my wallet). It'll be interesting to see when all this stuff comes back, seeing as how I sent the Form 1 out last monday, and two separate dealers are sending out the other 4 forms out today (8 days later).

Filled out all the paperwork yesterday on a silencerco ss sparrow. Used a trust and now the waiting game begins.


Thinking about sending away for a stamp for a sbr. The gun shop I went to makes their own lowers so I could register it through them and not have to have it engraved. Lowers are $185 but I think that makes them worth it,

That's a stripped lower, right? Still, for $185 hell yeah its worth it. Gives you a few months to decide how to outfit it and to choose an upper. Minimal investment up front.

We'll hopefully get our stamps back at roughly the same point buddy. Let me know how you like that Sparrow; one of the things I picked up the other day was an Element.

Yeah its a stripped lower, but I like the gun shop a lot real good people..and I won't have to deal with dumb engravings. And I'd just have an SBR lower to do with as I please..get a couple uppers haha

They have an 11.5 inch Colt SBR parts kits(complete minus the lower) that looks awesome too. for under $700

Yeah those 11.5s are nice. I'm not an expert on SBRs but if you want to put a can on it, you'll want to check and make sure it will cycle with it on or whether you'll need an adjustable gas block, etc. The guy I bought my 12.5 colt upper from has a Noveske ~11 inch upper with an adjustable gas block and the thing is absolutely sick.

But yeah, go grab the lower and fill out the form. It'll take 4-5 months to get it back anyway.

Yeah...my first SBR will most likely use a 10.5 or 11.5 noveske barrel with switchblock... I have a 16" noveske barrel right now and it shoots awesome. To many decisions haha. That or a SBR 9mm build

Yeah so many decisions to make, but just designate the lower as a 5.56 and as long as you have an upper to go on it that is that caliber, you can put any other caliber (like 9mm) on it. This wait definitely sucks; I need to find a way to distract myself from it and I haven't figured that out yet. I've got 5 toys on the way!

The SBR, a few suppressors, and one other pseudo-rare/badass gun which you'll all have to wait and see

So I'm coming up on 3 months and I now realize that I'm probably not even halfway there. I don't expect to see any of this stuff til at least mid July at this point. Ugh

I've got 1 silencer that should be here with in the next 2 weeks, a silencer 4-5 months off, a sub machine gun 6 months off, and a sub machine gun that I still havent got the CLEO signoff because I cant get enough time off from work to get to the office (takes me 15 minutes over my 30 minute lunch)

Wow, with the amount if stuff you have, I always thought you had a trust

Nope, no trust.

I dont trust them reguardless of who writes it. There have been cases where people years down the road had there trusts revoked because of wording and the such.
