Heated seat wiring harness retrofit

Can you still purchase the heated seat wiring harness to retrofit heated seats in an e46 that didn’t come with heated seats?

I’ve seen the detailed diy, but it seems like it would be much easier if you could just buy the wiring harness

Go to www.realoem.com and “build” and E46. Scroll down to seats to see if there’s a harness for the seat heat function. There’ll likely by 2 harnesses, 1 for each seat. Google the part numbers to see what’s available. You may have to go to a pick and pull salvage yard to find them cheep.

That wiring harness is no longer available.

It's very easy to do it without. 3 wires from each seat plug. 2 going to the 23pol plug and 1 for a ground under the seat. You'll need the correct pins or just source a used seat plug and take the pins out of there. Make sure you use the correct size wire. I've done it. Piece of cake it was. I also just retrofitted lumbar support too. Just £60 per seat and an easy diy.
