MS45.1 Engine into MS43 Equipped Car...?

I currently have a 2001 330cic equipped with MS43.
Last night, I did the classic “money shift” and damaged cylinders 1-3. Not sure exactly what the problem is but they don’t have any compression. Although cylinder 2 has about 50.

Anyway,
Found 2 parts cars, 2005-2006 330ci’s . If I’m not mistaken, are both equipped with ms45.1.

Will it be possible to drop one of those engines into my ms43 330 and it would run properly?
If not, what needs to be changed?

Any information, advice, and/or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Nothing needs to be changed. Just keep your intake manifold ms43, wiring harness ms43 and cats (or just keep you bank 1 O2 sensors ms43). Same engine, only difference is accessories.

Exactly. The changes happened to the coil packs, coil pack wiring, o2 sensors, maf, and intake air temperature sensor. Just swap over all the stuff from your original engine and you'll be fine

Okay, great news.
The original engine in my car now has catless headers with only pre cat 02 sensors.
So as long as I equip the ms45 engine with the catless headers and the ms43 intake manifold from the original engine, all should be good?

Can you explain the wiring harness, I get a little confused on what harness and where it exactly is located.

The engine may be off an automatic, if so.
I just have to instal the flywheel from my engine right? (My E46 is a 5 speed manual).

Also, what would happen if I used the wideband o2s from the ms45.1 engine with my ms43?

They will not work with ms43. Wide band got different connectors on O2 sensors.
