Minority thesbians have been denied parts generally? Are you aware that they are bigly over represented in the biz?

I think what's getting folded into this is that minority actors have generally not had an equal opportunity to play any parts. The argument should not be to constrict any actors ability to play any role they're capable of playing.

No actor should be told to go back to the studio they came from. Rather, they're a full member of our studio, let her rip and we shall all benefit!

Your first paragraph is on point.

Your second brings up the diversity and equal opportunity in Hollywood issues. I get that. But it has already changed a lot. And I don’t think the correct solution to the problem is to restrict creative freedom.

I read your third paragraph as an attempt at clever topical analogy (which fails). Should wannabe actors be allowed to just break into studios and sets uninvited and start acting in front of the cameras despite not being hired or selected for any roles in these ongoing artistic projects? Is that how you would run your studio or production?

I see concentration camps for actors in our future.

I understand the viewpoint that hiring a Japanese person because the role/story depicts a Japanese and that the likelyhood of the opposite ie hiring a Japanese to play the role of a blonde woman is zero to none.

That said, hiring a Japanese person primarily because s/he is Japanese is also an insult to the actor for their acting abilities.

This needs to be dealt with very carefully and diplomatically.

It's not a stretch to see this as an example of overly PC culture run amok.

You know what the "P" in PC stands for.

Correct. Some people want to form their responses based upon the person rather than the topic.

Eg JoeKid, his sidekick Cabrio, swashbuckler Smith, etc
