Alternator gurus!! Help!!
I have an issue on the ms45 to ms43 conversion.
I'm using the ms45 alternator and have to get the engine to 2300-2500 rpm before the alternator starts to charge.
I think it's a default failsafe setting.
If I just use the ms43 voltage reg nothing charges at all unless I feed it a switched 12v to both pins( as well as the thick main 12v) Then I get a working charge.
However if I do this I get lots of sensor error codes.
I'm hoping to find a solution that doesn't require changing the whole alternator.
Surely it's the regs job rather than the spinny stuff (com and arm).?
Any help would be great
