When you say that the subframe needs to be spaced 30mm you are speaking of spacing it downwards? What reason is this for?
You are effecting roll center negatively by doing this. And I don't want to do that

I'm assuming because he did not want to spend $3k+ on a dry sump system.
The oil pan will not clear the subframe w/o modification

Ok. I would rather modify the subframe (don't know if that is a real world possibility in the case.)
Just saying that if some cutting and welding Wil make it clear then I would rather do that.

aren;t all the E39 and E46 computers the same? Can't we just, as you say, look at both diagrams and plug and play? I feel transferring over E39 computers would need to inaccurate speed sensing with different bearings/hubs and such.

Not to make another similar topic I decided to post here. Another V8 M62 swap, but Vanos engine this time , Tu engine, because this time we want to make allsistem work. Car was 320ci 2.2 from factory, we changed rear axel to 3.0, all brakes around from 330, hight and hardnes adjustable coil overs, 3/38 188 diff, gearbox from 3.0 m54 6 speed with rewelded bell,engine m62b44TU from x5, fully redisigned oil pan and pump, custom engine mounts,custom driveshaft, z4m shifter,oem 330 6 speed gearbox mountings.

Did you use any electrical components from a e39 in your 320ci build? The battery, computer, ecu, the dash cluster and etc.
