Teach me about investing

Hi, I've always been interested in the stock market and I messed around with pink sheets before and made a little bit of change, but then I realized how stupid pink sheets were.

As of right now I have shares in Altria, purchased last week up 4.5% so far.

Yes, currently I have all my eggs in one basket. I was advised to purchase Altria, that's why I bought it and that's when I started doing anything with the stock market again.

I was told I should put money in stocks that have high dividends.

Any advise is appreciated.

Just know investing is a lifelong journey and you will literally never stop learning if you stay active with it.

Single asset concentrations = bad

Dividend producing stocks do not necessarily = good

Obviously I'm not trying to have all my money in one stock. I just did now as a start to investing. I only did this because I was 99.8% sure it was a very good investment.

Yes, I know. I'm starting to build my portfolio and working on my finances to see how much I can put into the market. I've messed around with the stock market before, but I know nothing about bonds, CD's, or mutual funds...

Do swing trading, it's more stimulating.
