Do NOT Buy Parts from Newparts.com

Hey folks as the title says I just wanted to warn you about buying parts from Newparts.com. I do have 2 vehicles, one of which is an E46 but the other a civic. I placed an order for a wheel bearing for my civic and when I went to press it in, the machinist placed the new bearing on top of the old one only to show me it's the wrong size. I placed the order with Newparts by phone, but they're also available on ebay.

I contacted Newparts and explained this to them repeatedly and they haven't been willing to refund me and I'm stuck with a part I can't use. Customer service has been giving me the runaround and 'Tom' is apparently only available by email. Interestingly enough he's never in either for me to speak to him....watch out

Hello Sayed,

As we have discussed with you before, we have only 30 day return policy and this order was placed back in September 2016.
This bearing you've ordered is the correct fit for models without ABS. In case your car has ABS, you need part number 44300 S5A 008.

We appreciate your understanding

ah, another "i ordered the wrong part, exhausted my return window, and now the retailer won't give me my $20 back and it's their fault" thread

these are even better when it's somebody who joined the forum today

Perhaps you missed the part where I mentioned I ordered this part by phone (with my VIN might I mention). I didn't realize a new bearing goes bad from just sitting on your shelf unused...

I never got around to installing it and regardless of if I contacted them 5 minutes after or 5 months after, the part is still the wrong part...it would have been the same song and dance. The claim would then be 'you ordered the wrong part'
