Nice, definitely a lot of pictures and I love them. Very HQ pics, read whole topic from page to page. I will definitely look forward to it, my friend from DSRLeasing has same model though in different color. It motivates me to make some input into my car as well

Ceramic coating time!

Car was machine polished some time ago, (3-step process), approx 20hours. I did it my self.
Now the paintwork is swirl free and smooth, i decided to apply coatings instead of wax.

Coatings which i used:

Black plastic parts: Nanolex SI3D coating
All painted parts plastic & metal : Ceramic coating

Benefit of coating vs wax is durability. In our winter waxes are useless.
I drive every day in our highways which are flooding with salt water and snow. Salt is sticking on for wax, and you cannot clean your car without solvants. Solvant will strip wax layer off. Then you have to wax it again. Basically you have to wax once / month in wintertime to keep protection.
Coating is different story. Coating is so slick that salt and other dirt would not stick .. it is easy to clean, and you can even wash it with solvants. Ceramic coatings are so strong.
I will post updates how coating is working in next winter months.

Coating applied and finished.

Thank you : )

Sport seat alert!
Yesterday i bought 2 sport seats. These seats are with manual adjustment. Seats are also fitted with heating system.
Seats are really dusty/dirty, and today i will borrow Kärcher textile cleaner from my friend and i have to clean both seats + also there is good time to clean carpet under seats. There is still lot of dirt and sand which you cannot vacuum when seats are in the car.

More pictures later, this is only test fitment for drivers seat. I still am looking for cheap M-Sport steering wheel..

Are you sure this is just a winter beater? Looks like you plan on keeping it for more than that

I replaced couple of parts yesterday:

- Side indicators
-2 gas struts for bonnet, and 2 gas struts for trunk lid.

Mystic Blue is quite interesting. Here is small video..choose HD.

Crazy beading.. car it is like oiled

Looks clean. Was the passenger side fender repainted before? Or perhaps the hood? There appears to be a bit of color difference.

Also, what did you use for ceramic coating?

The music though. So Euro

Repainted parts:

-Hood, left side doors (bmw body anticorrosion warranty)
-Front bumper, headlight washer parts
-Rear metal part between trunk lid and bumper (bmw body anticorrosion warranty)

It seems that those are different colour (hood / fender), but in real life outside you cannot spot any difference. Only in fluorescent light. That mysticblue also changes colour quite a lot depending angle.

I used Gtechnic C1 Crystal lacquer for black plastics, and one another ceramic coating product for paintwork..

My friend has been using carpro cquartz and both cquartz uk versions.
Those lasted for 1 or 2 years depending conditions.
Gtechnich EXO V2 would be good coating, and i think it is available in USA too.

OBC Retrofitted succesfully

I know my car was already prepared for OBC, there is outside tempeature sensor under front bumper. So, i bought stalk with BC button and installed it. Easy job.
After that little coding with NCS expert, and OBC is working now. Great little upgrade.
