When I took my little cup for count check I told the doc to be careful because they might be some spit within the specimen. His look was priceless. rofl:

Well done. I might see if Mrs. SPDSKTR will ask them if it's supposed to taste like marshmallows or something.

Sore today still, but not as bad as yesterday and not as bad as Saturday. Procedure was 4PM on Friday. Jock strap was pretty uncomfortable so I'm wearing tight briefs and they seem to do the trick.

Its kind of concerning to see a bruise on the 'ol ball bag but my urologist said thats typical for the scalpel-less procedure.

It'll get better with each passing day. After the 7th or 8th day (I think I waited until Day #8), you can give it a VERY GENTLE test run. GENTLY.

Mentally prepare yourself ahead of time because you'll see a little dried blood mixed in. I thought I was prepared since they told me, but I still freaked out upon seeing it. I immediately reminded myself that I had a scrotal surgery and that blood happens when you cut stuff. It was still disturbing.

Just wait for those clear test results. You'll quickly realize the soreness was worth it.

Yah, he prepped me on the likelihood of blood in the first few samples.

I was cracking up at the follow up procedure for samples. In very large, bold letters it says "WE DO NOT ACCEPT SEMEN SAMPLES IN CONDOMS OR BAGGIES OF ANY SORT"

He said that people have come in with all sorts of sample containers and the front desk receptionist had a bit of a freakout a few times.

They gave me the cups and said, "Bring 'em in whenever at least eight weeks from now." No other real instructions.

Have the Mrs. drop off the sample and ask, "Is it supposed to taste like [noun] after the procedure?"

"If it is mostly sugar, why it taste so salty?"

Although this thread is as dead as Speedy's grandkids, I'll close it out with this for future generations:

I am going in next week. He's going to knock me out with propofol.

I'm also taking a 2hr flight 6 days after the procedure. I assume that's no issue? How sore were you guys on day 6?

Why? It's not a bad procedure at all. I took a Valium pill and it didn't even do anything, so I was sober throughout the procedure. No need to get pumped full of Michael Jackson Murder Juice. Besides... it'll keep the out-of-pocket cost down.

Day 6, I was able to get around just fine, although I was still a little sore. I had to sit down and stand up gently, so I'm sure people thought I had hemorrhoids or something. I've talked to other guys who said they were able to go for a run after a week.

No offense, but if you need to be knocked out, you're either a complete pvssy or you have a doctor that is going way overboard.

I literally just had a local anaesthetic and it was no worse than getting a filling at the dentist office.

Anybody do the procedure, have regrets, and thought about reversal/got it reversed? Or rather had a significant other at some point down the line that wanted children?

Strongly considering this procedure as I don't want anymore kids.

I have 3 kids ages 8 and under. I cannot imagine a circumstance that would change my life enough to start having kids again. I love kids, but knocking on 40 isn't the time I'm going to have a newborn.

Thinking to an extreme.....if some freak accident occurred and took out my entire family except me, I guess I'd start my life over and potentially want to knock out some babies, but it would take years to get to that point (if ever), so I'd just get a reversal at that point. Not likely that is going to happen.
