Good to see another maniac. :-) I also bought a genuine replacement as I could not stand not having it on.

Great, I will give them a good cleaning once the car is off of its wintertime sleep.
I have no plans to do any tuning / retrofits for this car.
I think it will keep its value best 100% original.
Maybe i am too old for tuning..

Yesterday i took small video from left front fender.
This is the first panel which is finished with S30+ scholl compound + black quantum hex pad + Rupes LHR 15 Mk2.

I think rear bumper is now fine. There is still some swirl marks in rear spoiler lip.
I installed new fresh BMW badge .

Btw. I dont have anything in paper calculated how long polishing took.
I would say 25-40hours and there is still some minor imperfections i would like to fix with machine.

Hi
It is quite simple.

1. Remove fog lights, plastic parts off, then 2x bolts + connectors
2. From underside, take 4-6 bolts off where bumper is attached inner wings.
3. Take some bolts off from wheel wells where bumper is connected.
4. Remova 2x E -torx from underside which holds bumper in the chassis rail shock absorbers. If you look from underside bumper you will see those, quite deep in the bumper.
5. Now you can just pull it off, carefully, there is still some connectors attached in horn signals remove those.

Yesterday i was in paintshop, unfortunately painter said that he has lot work now and my parts are not ready. I have to wait 1-2 weeks.
Maybe i do some other maintenance when i wait parts..

Absolutely, I'm having similar wear on the underneath of the bumper. These M-tech bumpers tend to get hit a lot.

You should replace your headlight lenses to completely refresh the front end.

Hi

There was never yellow fog lights in E46 from factory.
As description says:
Some french cars did have yellow lights in 1980īs.
I am not modifying my coupe. It must be 100% oem to keep its value.

I see. Those fog lights easily come out with one screw. It's a nice factory-ish look/tasteful mod which can set you apart a bit. Of course, you can keep your factory fogs if you want to revert back.

Just a suggestion

In many european countries yellow fog light is prohibited. I do not know exact abot Finlad, but in mine can not imagine about legal technical inspection every year.

Little updates and money spent again

There was little accident when i took visco fan off.
I have done this maybe 15 times before.
This time i had too thick spanner and too much coffee.
When i hit spanner with hammer, spanner took contact with upper rad hose / thermosthat housing connector.

So damage report: Upper rad hose, and small visual mark in thermosthat housing.
I decided i replace both parts, here is shopping list:

-Wahler thermosthat
-SWAG upper rad hose.
-FEBI coolant (red G12, previous owner put red coolant there, not me.
Maybe i flush whole system in future and replace it with blue.)

I drained coolant, replaced damaged parts and bled the system.
Absolute no problems with bleeding, followed mango instructions which i found from youtube.
I poured approx 1 liter coolant through the exp. tank / bleed screw hole after there was no any bubbles. Car idled until coolant temp was approx 96celsius, electric fan kicked and bottom rad hose was hot. (thermosthat open).
