e46 330ci - schmiedmann SCM5254 kit touches gearbox

My e46 has mounted the following schmiedmann kit: https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/produ...roduct=SCM5254 The exhaust pipe touches a gearbox and a gearbox mounting. It leads to vibrations. I have marked those places in attached pictures:

Does anyone had that problem ? What is the best way to deform a little bit the pipe in that places ?

Hmmm...as someone who has been looking at this particular exhaust kit, I'm curious. That's the 1-3 collector that's touching the bellhousing?

From your sig you have a 330? Which transmission do you have?

I bought the e39 version (same headers, different mid pipe) and had the same issue.
The fitment was designed for cars with manual gearboxes with the corresponding transmission mount.
For autos it fouls exactly where you've noted.

To clear the bellhousing I put the pipes into a press and squashed at the collectors. For the mid section I had an exhaust shop cut up the pipes and remade a custom center.

In Schmiedmann's pictures during install, the car is an auto. Have you contacted them?

How about rear O2 sensors, did they extend to Schmiedmann O2 bungs without having to splice and extend them? This is most common complaint, it's useful to hear some success story too.

Hi, just for clarification: my e46 is 5 speed manual (2002). Finally I have fit the schmiedmann kit. The best solution is to cut a little bit a gearbox. It is not a big problem. The lambda probes wires are length enough to connect them behind the new catalysts. Everything works fine, I have no engine errors. There is also a problem with mounting a rectangular exhaust support. I haven't adjustted those parts yet. I wonder if the exhaust support is really necessary.

If you have any questions you can contact Schmiedmann directly.
