MS 43 config. Seeing in M4X Wiki. There are ongoing work regarding configuration for different engine, like 4 cyl. Is this possible. I have an E36 with M42 engine. Fitted with individual throttles. I am lookin for an other ECU than the 1.7.2 Motronic.

This might save someone a lot of time. If you get the "TPS Adaption" fault come up after adding launch control, all you need to do is set lc_swi_cal_mon_cks to 165.

I then synced EWS and the car started fine. So far so good! I then wrote the version 69 (keeping EWS) onto my ECU using Chipster. I re-synced EWS and the car cranks but does not start. I tried clearing adaptations and it still won't run.
To check if I didn't do anything wrong, I re-wrote the original software (again) and the car started fine. I then tried writing version 69 with EWS delete. Once again, the car cranks and does not start. I tried clearing adaptations again and it still won't start.
Any ideas of what I could try to get this to run? It seems like the EWS is not allowing the car to start... Previous versions work flawlessly
Is the temp gauge going to red?

Hi thecos,
The temperature gauge is not going to Red. I used Chipster, so Checksum was corrected.

Are you changing the ISN and Vin on the 69 file before doing a full write with Chipster? But you said you sync'd the EWS so I guess you are? Not sure what's going on since you seem to be taking the same steps I took to get the 69 file running on my car... The only difference I see is that you didn't mention writing your VIN into the 69 file. The ISN is FF so it takes it from the EWS (?) but it doesn't hurt to copy it from your original file, that's what I've always done.

What fault codes do you see when you try to start it?

No error codes show up. The car simply cranks and doesn't start, but the "Service Engine Soon" does not light up

From my experience you always get a fault code when the engine doesn't start. The most common one I was getting was TPS-Adaption or EWS fault.

I'm seeing a similar no start situation on my UK 2002 325ci.
DSC and EML lights stay on and get a clicking noise before it cranks without starting.
Patched EWS only before flashing with Chipster.
Car starts OK on pretty much any v56 file, including on a spare junkyard DME.

Appreciate all the hard work doods. Thanks.

V69 is still iffy. I tried a test file and it worked but only unpatched. I haven't had success with the files on the wiki

Left Hand Drive / Right Hand Drive....it was explained...

I think it has something wrong on ews delete feature. There are less errors without that patch. Control unit failure one does not come up without ews patch. unfortunately, for swap guys with ews phisically removed, there is no sync option available,so no engine start.
