Brake Pressure Sensor Connector OEM Replacement

I thought I'd post this information here for anyone that needs it. When changing my brake pressure sensors, I ended up breaking one of the brake pressure sensor's plastic connectors, on the wiring harness in the car. After much research I was able to locate a replacement OEM connector, but it had a different part number. It was a bit tricky but I was able to pop out the pins from the old connector and pop them into the new connector. Anyone that needs this information I'll walk you through it.

The part number on the BMW connector is 2-968980-1 which is not available anywhere to purchase. You may also see the part number 968402-1 on the outside housing.

An identical replacement is part number 2-967642-1 made by TE Connectivity (www.te.com). The same company that made the BMW version. It's available at mouser.com and digikey.com The only difference of this connector is the color (green instead of white).

If you need to crimp new wires and can't use the old pins, I still got you covered.

Water proof seal for each pin: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/571-967067-1

Hope this helps anyone that's damaged their harness!
