While I think OP's price is a bit high, the idea that his is an $8k car is sheer lunacy. I have been watching the ZHP convertible market nationwide for at least 6 months, in search of my 2nd one. Double the miles and maybe it's an $8k car.

I won't claim to be as knowledgeable about the M3 convertible market but I doubt you can find one in this condition for the same price. Unless maybe it is an SMG.

No idea on price, but winter (even in the Bay Area) is not a great time to sell a convertible. I know as I've bought two in the month of January (1983 and 2015) and got a good deal on both of them and still have both. The car we bought in 1983 (very rare - 1 of 271 sold in the US in 1968) was in Sunnyvale during a very wet winter. Our ZSP 330Ci was bought for quite a bit less than similar cars I found on line and that was here in Fresno where used cars tend to be higher priced than the Bay Area.

Patience is the key, but tends to favor the buyer. Our '68 had been "for sale" for about two years and a lot of people knew about the car. I did find out later that the seller had turned down at least one full price offer. He came down about 20% in price for us. He also did not have to sell.

Hi guys thanks for the feedback! It's absolutely the wrong time to sell a convertible but it is what it is. I'm not in a rush and I'm looking for the right buyer. As I've always said I'm willing to work with a serious buyer as I want to pass the car along to someone else who will appreciate it for what it is.
