After 3 months of not using the car, breaks got stuck and smoking

Hi,

What could be the most probable issue in this case (everything was fine, put car in the garage for 3 months not driving, and now front breaks stuck and smoking after moving 1 meter).

Based on the smoke it looked like both sides were stuck.

E46

I saw youtube videos for diagnostics, but maybe you have an idea what is the most probable cause in this specific scenario (acting out after 3 month of not driving the car)?

Thanks

I would think rust.
