I have a 02 330xi and i had the same problem, vibration under acceleration, the only difference was it also happened at high gears like on the highway. My boot was also cracked and leaking and I bought the axle myself and it fixed the problem, cheap easy fix and I wouldnt worry about it.

there is the link to the axle that will fix your car.

Yo rider i wish that helped mine. Had my replaced. No luck. So as of last week everything from the flex disc back is all new. Vibration still here. I suppose I can change out the tranny mounts. Maybe the issue is further up.

I am having the dreaded vibration aswell aswell....I have a time with BMW on the 25th April. It sounds like I also have to replace my bushings with symptoms of clunking and wobble in the steering wheel after going over slight sharp "bumps/edges", but as said also the vibration on accellerating at high way speeds and uphill....... pooooh!!! Still love this car though.

Sounds like the axle. I had the same symptoms.

Motor mounts can cause this on the xi and other models.

That's usually at stop signs/lights.

Get the car in the air and look for boot tears. Typically those are pretty rock solid. I would be more worried about the front vs the rear.

Schrickm5, what did they find? My vibration feels like it's under my feet, but vibrates whole car under a load at low speed acceleration. Very doubtful it's an axle or cv issue, and thinking more like ujoint/driveshaft issue. Thanks!

Try replacing the center support bearing. I had vibration issues forever replaced axles, guibo motor mounts, nothing worked. Replaced the center support bearing and drove smooth as silk after. I vibrated in drive at idle, speeding up from idle and on highway. My bearing was absolutely shot. Worth looking into.

I was having the vibration, I jacked up the front end, and spun the tire noticed the rotor was warped, put new rotors on and it solved the problem.
