Alarm being triggered by hood, but its unplugged

I unplugged my hood alarm sensor years ago as it was going off randomly. Ive had no issues since, until recently. My alarm is now going off randomly (at 3am). PASoft shows it as hood alarm sensor trigger. How the hell is a missing sensor triggering my alarm randomly?

My hood alarm sensor is unplugged as well. I was cleaning my engine bay and I assume the connecter saw a lot of water because my alarm went off a few times until the connecter dried. Something similar might be going on with yours
