E30 swap 325xi engine

I got an m54b25 awd variant and transmission. It was supposed to be an m52b28tu. What is the differences from the awd and rwd can I easily change it???

The AWD version will have an oil pan that allows the axles to pass through,

So by swapping oil pans I will basically have a normal m54? I will need an oil pan from an e34 anyways to fit an e30. What about the transmission and weight difference. This engine felt heavy compared to the m20 I pulled with and auto trans

The rest of the engine should be the same. There's more parts in an M54, more cams, lifters, vanos etc.
