I may be dead wrong here, but humor me for a moment.

Take a few minutes and check the O2 sensor wiring VERY carefully.

First to make sure everything is plugged in fully, BUT there is a situation where people can REALLY screw up the O2 sensors connections. I recall there is a gender difference between the front and rear O2 sensors and the connections are close to each other. We have seen a lot of cases with the O2 sensors sometimes are plugged into each other and the car harness is also plugged into the other gender connector on the car.

This causes NO O2 signal to be fed to the the DME.

You could have one side connected properly and another side connected in a way that the front and rear O2 sensors are plugged into each other and the harness from the car is plugged into the other connector on the cars harness.

Then to make matters worse, you then need to unplug one O2 sensor at a time to make sure the sensors are connected to the proper bank on the wiring harness.

Hope this makes sense??

Assume nothing is correct going under the hood and you will be FAR better off in the end!

Let me know what you find.

Fuel trims this high lead me to think there is a MASSIVE air leak.

Redneck smoke tester, cheap cigar, a rubber glove and some vacuum line, or make your own with PVC pipe and baby oil.

I have the exact same car and symptoms.

Did you mean the MAF sensor was at fault? You had to clean it or replace it?

For me, it turned out be a faulty MAF. Replaced with a $220 OEM MAF. Runs like a champ.

Hi all. I have a 2001 325ci with. 154k on it. I just bought it. Was told it needed coils. It was not running g on all 6 cylinders. I have replaced all 6 coils with brand new ones and now the car idles as smooth as could be, but when you rev it up or try to accelerate it bogs down and pops through the filter box. I've checked for vacuum leaks around the upper and lower intake lines and do not see or hear anything. Currently there are no check engine light on. Again, the car idles great, just no power when accelerating. Any thoughts? Thanks
