Don't know if anyone is still paying attention but here goes, along with the what may or may not be extended duration of the oil light, on cold starts I'm having some rough start issues.
Nothing more than a second or so but it can be mild to slightly wild.
Sometimes it just has a little burp but sometimes (1 out of 10 times) I'll hear a ping (I don't know a better way to describe it but it's like a solid piece of metal hitting another) from the engine.
No matter what it does it runs fine afterward and it's less than a second of rough idling.
I'm going to clean out the ICV this week and replace the spark plugs (it's been about 90K since they were replaced).
I'm wondering if the rough start, could delay the oil pressure building by half a second.
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this and if you think the ping is related to the oil pressure light (it happens when it's still on) or if it could just be a misfire in the engine (no check engine codes though).
As always thanks for any input or thoughts.
