I called ProEfi and they were not to sure on the MS45 over the phone. Has it worked for you, and how well? Have you used E85? How does it work with the CANbus. Is it near stock?

read it....right, that's what I am trying to avoid, lol. Great build, I'm more of a hardware guy, software is my weak point. I need a plug and play system. And a system simple enough that a tuner could manipulate the values efficiently. Maybe you can market once you get this sorted, Ill be first in line

Ill check Motec...

Hi, I need advice on this topic. Im replacing my 2002 325i engine with a 2002 330i engine
as I was able to get low mileage and fairly cheap. How can I update my software to to utilize
the 330i engine? Thanks

It doesnt matter if you are tune it or not, you want your DME with 325i setting (tuning parameters) to work with your 3.0 engine. You have two options. WINKFP or galletto 1260, if you have no idea of what im talking about, pm me.

HELP!!!

Just completed the ms43 swap. No codes. TS3 tune. The car runs lean with MAF connected 19.5 and rich when not ..10.5
Don't see a boost leak. Should there be such a huge difference?

The MAF you´re using is M54B30 MS43 one? Can you check its not damaged by changing to another one? Your stage3 is generating so much power, the stock maf can´t recognize all that air blown through it.

What are the MAF options? Mustang? Bmw 540? I'm thinking a v8. Or is it scaling? I was under the impression that you could not scale them because they don't physically read that high.

Well, one could scale them by using resistors but i wouldn´t use that option. As ESS seems to use the stock maf, i tend to think they changed to Alpha/n. The stock maf is just not capable of recognizing that amount of airflow.

Is there everything like it should be when using a stock MS43 car?

New MAF worked better, no shudder at 2500rpms...idle is better without MAF but drivability is better with.

Here are my codes per pa soft however my check engine light isn't on.

The car drives fine and starts (tho AFR isn't optimal) so I'm surprised at these codes.

Check that the ignition coil grounds are properly connected. There are a couple on the cylinder head itself, held down with 8mm nuts.

I have researched and it appears to be a grounding issue...
