Car blinkers not working when locking/unlocking

Hello

Got my e46 (323ci 1999) last year and I think the previous owner changed some settings since the blinkers don't blink when locking or unlocking the car. The only thing that happens is that the interior lights turn on when you unlock it.

Is there any way to change it? How do I do it? I must specify that I'm very much a big noob when it comes to tuning stuff.

There was a thread about this started not too long ago, see here:

If you car does not have an OEM alarm then it would not have been programmed from the factory to have the lights blink when locking/unlocking. You can enable the light flashing feature with programming and do not need to buy any of the alarm components. If you want to hear siren chirps when locking and unlocking you can easily add a factory alarm system by adding the siren, tilt sensor, and ultrasonic sensor. The harness should be pre-wired for these parts to plug right in but will require programming the ZKE module to activate.

It's not quite the same issue. I'm from Europe and, in Spain at least, you can only have your blinkers blink with no sound when locking/unlocking. AFAIK you don't need the alarm module to program that, so is there any way of doing it?

You need either ncs-expert or pa soft to code the lights to blink
