GROUP BUY - Vorsteiner Hood Resurrect!

**UPDATE** 14 booked so far... I'd like to hit a solid 20 units. We are close to getting this locked in and underway...

I am travelling from Australia to SEMA in early November and I am also planning a visit to Karbonius in Spain...
I will discuss with Vorsteiner in person...

As someone who has over the years purchased 4 Vorsteiner Hoods (and numerous other bits such as bumpers, splitters, diffusers, roofs, wheels etc etc) - I feel qualified to try and pull together a strong number of buyers so that we can hit Vorsteiner up to break out the old moulds and produce a limited run of E46 hoods...

Call it a "15th Anniversary Run"...

Lets keep it simple;

ALL Double Sided Carbon Only - ALL Silver V Logo on Underside

Option# 1: E46 M3 Coupe - Twin Vents
Option# 2: E46 M3 Coupe - Quad Vents
Option# 3: E46 Non-M Facelift Coupe - Twin Vents

Costs to verify - I would suggest as original + inflation...
I suspect $2000+ USD
In the context of Vorsteiner now making $10k + hoods for McLarens etc these M3 pieces were a bargain when they were originally selling (and people complained about the price...)
Lets first get a list together...

Please reply to the latest post and just keep adding name and then which version you would like...

I will then collate and negotiate with the Vorsteiner guys. Cheers!

LIST TO DATE (as at 10 October 2019)

So 14 thus far... Get your mates into this - the more the more likely we can make it happen...

Can you guys help out and post A LINK to this elsewhere? facebook, CSL Register etc etc.
(it's just I'm not a Facebooker...)

Thanks

Is there an option for non-facelifted non-m coupe? Or would that be m3 hood?

No - I think for this to work - we are going to need to keep it nice and simple
So in your case you would need the M3 - and adjust the fender gaps to suit.

So shall I put you down?

LOL!

Too many options will = no program...

I suggest you go ahead with vents and just pop em out / glass over...

Can I count you in?

The Facelift includes DOME already - so really you just want NO vents... So I think glass over...

We will really need to keep this to a simple 3 choices provided.
Sorry to the Sedan guys.

Coupe guys - there is something for all - if you dont like vents - just cover them...

I will be making some INTERNAL covers for rain.

What was the original price for these? I wasn't around the scene back when these were available.

If not too terrible I would be interested in a twin vent M3.

I am interested in the quad vent. Depending on price of course. What was the original advertised weight on these? Anyone have thoughts on original price?

I bought a MAShaw GTR hood couple years ago and it was lightest on market.
I paid 1400 with shipping. First hood arrived broke, it was replaced. Used it in Lucky Dog Racing, hit a wall. Need a new hood now. I can accept a few more pounds for increased durability. i just might be interested in 2, I have one dedicated track car in progress and another HPDE that might enjoy a new hood?
