process

What is the process for lowering the sub-frame enough to use the tool? Trying to decide if I want to tackle this one.

There are a few good DIYs out there which detail the process. Fairly straight forward, nothing complicated but it does require some effort. Expect a weekend project, maybe less if you've already had some of the rear components out in the recent past. FYI I am on vacation thru 1 June.

Available for rent?

Hoping to work on my car in 1st/2nd week of December 16.

Also, do you still need to drop differential and lower subframe to remove the subframe bushings or is there enough clearance on top of the subframe to remove the bushings using this tool?

Tool is available....

You'll need to lower the rear subframe assembly. It doesn't need to be removed. Take a look at the second picture in my original post. The subframe is resting on a jack stand. Removing the differential would be optional, but IMO makes the job easier since you're not fighting with the heavy diff mounted to the subframe.
