The reader is awesome by the way.

I have just loaded my first tune using BimmerEditor.

I can tell that the MS45.0 (X3)uses torque mapping because after the first run, low gears felt no different but the higher gears pulled more than before.

Something I've been working on:

Might want to mess with the RPM thresholds a bit. And looking at the video, I think I need to add a little bit of code to switch to the oil temp routine if the clutch is depressed. Might also implement RPM thresholds per gear.

For those of you using ByteTuner to tune your MS45.1 cars, or if you have all the maps and are using terra's flash tool, be sure to check out the MS45 section on ms4x.net. I added a bunch of content there for disabling O2 sensors and disabling SAP and a few other odds and ends, feel free to contribute!

deleting DTCs is easy. I can post a guide when the flash app is out.
Oh god yes how can I be notified of this?

I am looking for the fuel maps on 7561512, MS45.0.

My problem is that with my vanos tuning, the fuel trims vary wildly across the rpm/load range and when I hit full throttle it goes lean from fuel trims.

You got no o2? They should compensate no? I know on MS43 when I had it NA , I did vanos , timing and added 3% of fuel to the maps and the rest adaptations did for me , more I drove the car in racing kinda of manner the better it got. I had a wideband and I could tell it was getting better.

I am running narrowband O2 same as MS43/42. The MS45 runs the learned trims at full load. My vanos maps are making the engine 13% rich at part load which are trimmed to 0%(-13% trims). 13% lean at full load is bad and there is no learning when in full load.

Terra,

Does the MS45 use the same DS2 commands as MS42/43? I.E 12050B03 for most engine operating parameters.

I am having problems getting logging to work with my X3(MS45.0) when the programs all work with my MS42 DME.
Testo and INPA etc work but nothing else. i.e. Bimmerlogger, tuner Pro, Romraider all fail with the X3

It does not. It uses the KWP2000 protocol.
