Ummm, you act like every person arrested is mentally sane or healthy. I've had a guy try to eat his hand just to get out of handcuffs. Not.all.there!

No! ...but every incident is not an indication of some grand conspiracy, negligence or abuse of power.

Yeah, meat is hung, people are hanged, but that ruins the joke. Artistic liberty.

Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deterscalled the shooting "totally unwarranted," and "the most asinine act I've ever seen a police officer make."

Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell this week said he saw the video and said, "It's not a good situation."

From my perspective (...and adding my own quarterbacking analysis as a 3rd party viewer)....

...I would have directed DuBose out of that vehicle the moment that he began to act suspiciously, and I would have ordered him to remove the keys from the ignition and place them on the roof the car. That may not have changed the final result however.

What's an acceptable rate, including variances?

The guy was acting shady. All the more reason not to stick parts of your body through the window and force a situation where you feel like you have to draw your gun and shoot the guy to protect yourself. That video doesn't encourage me to find the officer's actions reasonable.

We shall see how the jury feels.
