Yup, that's what I mean. Did you get the bdm 100 from eBay?
For partial read can we use galetto?

Yes

Galetto 1260 doesn't read/write ms45 ((((
but I think that is possible to read/write partial with d-can

at least Winkfp can write it.

I've used PASoft to do a 1024 byte read from the MS45.1 over OBDII, but it is VERY slow. Took me about 1.5hrs to do a full read (using read mode 02)

Pa soft seems like it's very powerful. I never knew it could do that. So this means we don't need bdm for a full read? Can it write?

I want to compare the files from BDM & PA-soft, if they are identical - it`s would be great.

would be interesting to know whether the ms45.0 (euro) can be updated to run ms45.1 simply through software, and add the the required pins for the WBO2 sensors if all else is pinned the same.
Similar to how all MS41.x DMEs are the same DME hardware with just a different software version.

not possible, I've been trying to put full flash into ms45.0 from ms45.1 with BDM... it's not even started.

Quick question, does anybody know a working bench setup for obd2? Since we now know that pa soft can read it, what pins are needed to make a bench?

Hey guys I finally got my bdm pins aligned and read the full flash off of the DME. Here is the file https://www.sendspace.com/file/kw21rm.
The DME is from a M56 SULEV but that shouldn't make a difference.
Hardware number 5WK93017 Index 02
Part number 7533652
VIN: WBAAZ33474KP85361

Hmm, that's not quite what I was expecting, I was thinking this would either be a 1024kb full read, or the 128k data section, but this file is like 513k. I was curious to see what software and configuration version is loaded on this DME.

Maybe I switched around the bdm pins? I'll try again with them switched around. The program read the full flash within a minute or two

The full read is compressed. You need to use the BDM software to extract the bins from the compressed file. On the PPC based computers they often have multiple files (internal, external, serial eeprom) so when you do a full read or write it includes all of them in one file.

Late to the party but we factored the private key a couple years ago now (cool to see JimC is still active though! He's a legend!). Its not even that hard for a 512bit key on a modern PC, it just took a couple weeks (unfortunately a 1024 bit key is still impossible). All of our MS45 files are signed like they were stock - and yes, including all the checksums, even the "hidden" ones.
