It doesn't matter if someone else doesn't like the color, or if someone else thinks the motor is too small (even though said person drives a less powerful and less fuel efficient motor in their sig). As long as Jake likes his car, that's what matters

Sucks man. What's the prognosis? Buffable then a Dr.color chip fill and polish?

Forgot off the top of my head but I will touch it up for now. In the spring time I will probably deal with insurance

Should be. The bottom one is deep. Top to are not that bad but I will get the BMW paint, a very very fine brush, let it harden for a day then we will wet sand and polish. Shouldn't be noticeable until you get up close.

I know your pain. Some twat hit me and refused to accept any accountability. So I had to waste my time and money dragging it to court where I won and now I have to waste even more time getting the money from him.

Best of luck

UGH. That sucks. People suck.

But look at it this way: at least it's just the front bumper (disposable IMO) and not a metal panel that would require blending... good excuse to delete the USA reflectors?

You may want to take a look at both of our Join Dates. I'm well aware of how forums are

I was actually defending Jake's car. I have an F31 328 and my E36 is also Estoril.

Check and double check.

I'll say again your post was ignorant. It's a great car with the 4cyl.

Those scratches are terrible. Can't believe that some people just don't care about other people's property. I recently encountered something similar, i think someone kicked my car and left a huge dent. I feel your pain man.

Kind of seemed like it to me. Just was trying to restore peace to my second favorite place on the internet

you should be able to take 85% of that down with scratchx. then buy a blue paint pen and touch up the rest. it'll be mostly invisible. For a large-ish car that's going to spend a lot of time on NY streets, it may not be wise to spend hundreds (even in an insurance claim) for something that's bound to happen again. That sucks though. You should wire up a dash cam that records while the car is off. a bit tricky to pull off I hear, but i think it's possible. I've still yet to figure out a plan to do mine like that but i don't really park outside that much.

Touched up the bottom scratch with the fluid ink writer. When I have some time I will get the buffer out and compound the area, followed by polish and sealant.

Installed the BMW performance rear diffuser this afternoon, painted the rear reflectors black and used Never Dull on the exhaust.

Btw if you are curious about the exhaust I found the original thread where the previous owner bought the exhaust
