E53 M62b44TU swap to E46, help(EWS-DME issu)

Hello guys,
Recently have swaped an M62b44TU engine from a E53 X5 year 2001, to 320CI E46 year 2001. We have installed engine Wirings to the car also ews and keys of the engine. Now the car crank but does not start, we find out that there is no fuel pressure and sparks. We have checked fuses relays fuel pumps, every thing is OK. When diagnosing with autocom its tells: 148 EWS 3.3 DME-EWS. We have tried to synchronize the DME and EWS but it says: Syncro not Possible. we have tried reprog a second EWS and still not working. ad now we have being thinking about deleting the ews3.3. Guys we are really stuck, what are your suggestions ? and we would be very thankful for any of your help!

Forgot to say that the donor car (E53) has an auto tranny and E46 has a manual one.

I don't think an EWS delete for that DME exists. You either have to buy a DME that comes in a kit on eBay (has EWS, DME, locks, and keys). Each DME is hardcoded to one EWS so trying to sync it with another EWS will not work

Armeh7,
I did swap DME, ews, key from the donor car. And the donor car was running perfectly. Now I don't have no check engine light in the cluster. I doubled checked the wires. Do i have to swap ignition cylinder too?

Well if the ignition cylinder isn't swapped, I don't see how the donor key is going to turn it

Or how it is checking the transponder in the key.

Sent from my tractor.

I have put the donor key in the transponder ring, and it's reading it. I can see it with diagnostic.

The DME is a ME7.2. EWS delete exists but it isn't free.

Yes I know it's not cheap, but do I have a choice? I just wanna make sure it's not something else, before doing anything costy!

I think for the car to start , ews needs to know that the car is in neutral thats why there is no fuel or spark

You must code ecu and ews as e39 540i manual or cheap and fast way is to connect on ews plate two pins togeather wich goes to starter.
