Yep, when weather turns much colder in january i will raise car and wash undercarriage with hot water and pressure washer. We have really good professional kränzle washer in my garage.
Road salt is bad thing. We have it from october till may.
Climate change makes our winter too warm in present day. When i was kid we had many months -20celsius and lot of snow.
This year has been so dark and tempeature is approx 0celsius all the time. They salt roads like mad.

Only thing why i have to live here is work..
I dont have good enough German or Italy language skills to work there..
UK would be easy place to work, at least i know some english. But the climate there is just crap as in my country.
Long and rainy winters..

I am planning my first trip to USA 2018, lets see how it goes. east coast.
I think it will be some days nyc, and then rental car from airport and washington, boston .. maybe pennsylvania? 2 week trip total.

But seriously i have always been interested about usa and its possibilities, also the climate in south states is nice.
Problem is, that you only get that work permit for couple of years maximum? One of my friend was working in Florida and Conneticut, and she said that first year was easy but next years would be quite expensive to have work licenses. It is difficult compared to europe, here we can go in what country we want and do job and live there. It is not so simple in usa. One of my friend is currently working in Denver and he dont complain anything. He has double nationality, because was born in usa. It is easy for him to work there. His parents are Finnish and live next to my parents. He always tell me interesting stories about Colorado.

Today i have some plans to change gearshift parts for E46. I bought all parts from Latvia, genuine BMW parts.
Gearshift feel is like mixing soup.. time to fix it.

I see. Well I will be on the east coast for the first few months of next year. I imagine you will be coming during the summer? I am right outside of Philadelphia. Colorado is an interesting place; never been there but I would like to go. What kind of work do you do for a living?

It can still be cold in April and sometimes we still get snow. Usually we don't but it's not unusual. Since you are working in IT you should have a good chance of getting a job here in the US if you ever decide to move

Dont you love salt..
2 days and 50km after wash car looks like this

Luckily i have garage for washing..
I can now say that ceramic coating is working like a dream.
First solvant foam with lance, then bilt-hamber autofoam with lance. 10 min working time, then rinse off with hot water pressure washer.
I would say that 90% of all dirt and salt is now gone.
Then 2 buckets and wash mitt +shampoo.., drying with big towels.

Result:

Nice to see result, but I do not have time so much to do in this way. Try to compensate more regular pressure wash and wax wash only.

Thats good plan, i think area where you live wax is good enough for winter?
Collinite waxes are good, i have 915 which i used before coating.
Now my waxes are just laying in my storage.
Dunno know what i will do with those. I have Finis-Kare 1000P sealant, Pete´s 53 black pearl, Collinite 915. Maybe sell..

Some years ago i washed many times per week with foam lance + pressure washer, it was quite clean, but unfortunately we have so mineral rich water , there was always some water spots after washing with pressure washer only. I cannot risk my coating with those, so i have to wash always with mitt and dry car carefully..
