M3 Possible Sale Value

Hey everyone.

I know this is probably a fairly common question, but my father is considering selling his 2002 M3 Convertible and we were wondering what a fair range of prices would be for it?

It's a 2002 Carbon Black Convertible with the 6 speed manual. It has black interior and is fully loaded with all options. It also has the factory hardtop option that is also in excellent condition.

The car has 68,000 miles on it and is a garage queen for him. It only comes out on weekends and for mountain drives. He's had the car for 6 years now and is looking to get an E60 5 series for a change.

As far as maintenance it's had regular 5k mile oil changes (liqui moly 10w60 or Castrol TWS) done at home by us, and the rod bearings were done under factory recall. We also recently replaced all 6 ignition coils and spark plugs.

The car would come with both keys and the window sticker as well.

We are just trying to get a good feel of the value of the car before we list it to see what we should expect.

Thanks in advance and have a good day!

Subframe inspection / reinforcement? Otherwise the car sounds A+

~22k is fair ask, I think.

We have not reinforced the rear floor, but have kept an eye on the subframe mounting points over the years and have seen no cracks. It was under our understanding that the Convertibles were not as susceptible to the cracks since they have extra reinforcements from the factory? Regardless, this car has never been tracked and really just driven causally on nice days.

22k is what we were expecting, thanks for the input!

Make sure you post it on m3forum.net classifieds. A TONNE more traffic there than this forum. Good luck.
