You old...

I'm stoked too. I started watching ST Discovery on my last flight and now I'm signing up for CBS streaming so I can keep watching it.

I grew up on TNG despite being really young while my dad watched it. Then we watched re-runs for the next decade.
I kinda don't want them to make this new movie because it just never lives up to the original. But something new, thought provoking, and mature as the original could be something special.

Look at that subtle jet-black coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a 6mt.

I'm really enjoying the new star treks mostly because modern day CGI can really do the story justice.

Also, consider watching The Orville. It's really good.

Iíve also been watching the Orville. I was expecting a farce or parody of Star Trek with lots of silly jokes, but was surprised that it is a real sci-fi show with intelligent storylines and good effects and production values. There is humor in it, but it takes a back seat to the sci-fi plot lines (kinda like the original Star Trek series). Itís pretty well done and worth watching IMHO.

TNG is one of my favorite shows of all time. I've seen in a few times through. It's just such an easy watching show and is thought provoking. It has a lot of cheese and Troi episodes are a solid skip, but really overall perfect.

I will definitely watch Picard. I have yet to watch Discovery but I've heard good things. Will pirate and watch soon.

good to see patrick stewart go out with his own swan song of a story for Jean Luc Picard

His professor X in logan was too sad.

Seems like everyone gets to revisit their accliamed successe for the final time, top gun, terminator, logan, iron man..

It doesnt feel like im watching picard in star trek, it feels like the expanse in a star trek world.

the slow pacing, the interior of the ships, I guess thats what people like for world building.

The orville is def more star trek than picard.
