Yeah, I kind of wonder if the things I have been reading are just typical online blather from people who don't want to admit that they actually like anything for fear of being uncool.

I have seen that as well. I'm only on the third episode, so I'm not really binging. I mostly wanted to watch a couple of episodes to see whether I might want to watch it with my wife when she gets home tomorrow. If I watch too many episodes I'll be too far ahead of her to catch up without me taking a week or two off.

I'm actually glad if the show wraps a season with a conclusive ending. Leaves the second season more open to a new story line rather than dragging out the existing one. The show is based on a book and the book is a trilogy so it opens up the next season for the next book. I just finished episode 7 so no spoilers!

It's not on Netflix but if you guys like Altered Carbon, you'll also like The Expanse on syfy. Super well done and also based on a book series.

I heard good things about The Expanse as well. TBH, I just don't have enough time to sit down to watch TV anymore. This is a bummer because, from what I read online, we live in a true golden age for excellent TV.

That's a good way to approach it (and most shows for that matter). I'm very guilty of binging and I've definitely noticed when I do, shows tend to be less impressive or I miss out on a lot of little detail stuff.

Ah, that's cool, did not know it was based off a book trilogy. Definitely looking forward to next season, will have to check out Expanse too.

Agreed, and way too long at over 2 hours. I actually enjoyed Mute more than I did The Outsider:

Watched Mute last night. Over 2 hours of lame TV. Good actors...bad script.

I wound up watching the rest of it Friday and Saturday before my wife got home. I didn't think she would really like it so I just polished off the season while she was gone. It was pretty cool but the ending was not that satisfying for me.

I read the books a while ago and feel they were a lot better than the show, shows was great but it was a little bit of a letdown considering the extremely high hopes I had for it.

This seems to be the issue with Netflix stuff. Bright had some good actors and Friends from College had an awesome cast...both flopped due to crappy writing.

Just two episodes of Altered Carbon left.

I've heard tons of nothing about The Outsider. Seemed like an interesting plot on surface but I'm guessing based on what everyone is saying that it's really just an average movie?
