personal statement for college/grad school application

anyone got a personal statement i can read?
i'm helping someone revise his personal statement for college applications... and just looking for some inspiration
of course i'm not going to copy it... it wouldn't be personal and it wouldn't work
i would like to see some examples if possible

Yes, as well as what experience you have preparing you for this degree etc. It's not difficult just kind of a pain in the bumski.

Grade school?

Personal statements are easy. Tell them why you think their school is a good fit for you. What you have to bring to the table. And what you hope to get out of your experience.

Is it a good idea to introduce oneself in the first paragraph of one of these or should that be left ot the heading?

"Hi I am 12, what is buttsex?"

also you could look around for the 350hp supra comment.

both of those are good place to start.

They're kind of cheesy in my opinion. You might be better off stating... "The benefits that XXX Corporation / University of XXX and I have to gain from each other are unmistakable."

They know who you are. Your resume/cv tell them who you are, where you went to school, and what your degree is in.

As long as you're specific to a few things unique to their school/company, you're fine.

Hi,

I'm looking for some personal statement examples for law school. I wanted to start with a personal story (an event that helped me understand I actually could become a law professional). Should I tell the truth that I was discouraged about the legal field in general after the situation that happened to me (it was my parents' divorce)? But I can't think of any proudest personal achievement that I can describe further.
